Kutani ware is a type of fine porcelain pottery developed in Kutani, Ishikawa Prefecture over 350 years ago. The notable features of the porcelain include vivid colors, bold and elegant designs. Typically, Kutani ware uses five colors (red, yellow, green, purple, and Prussian blue), commonly referred to as "Kutani gosai" - the five Kutani colors.
Seikagama (青郊窯), a kiln located in the Ishikawa Prefecture of Japan established in the early 1900s. It is famous for Kutani-yaki color painting, has developed its own Japanese paints with transparency and layers of depth that enhance the charm of its works.
