Aderia Retro Footed Glass - Sakurasou

This retro style glass is a remake of the original Aderia glassware from the Showa period (1926 – 1989). 

Designer Hikaru Sugimoto revived these glassware designs, leading to the launch of the "Aderia Retro (アデリアレトロ)" brand today. The glassware is made by Ishizuka Glass Co (established in 1819).

The revived Aderia glassware not only recreates the prints, but also the paint smudges of the originals.

• The Sakurasou「さくら草」(Japanese Primrose) design was first launched in 1970. Back then, the pattern was printed on pink glass. 

• This design features a regularly arranged pink floral pattern. If you look carefully, some of the blue-green dot on each flower is slighly off-centred. This is also a recreation of the imperfection of the original print back in the Showa period.

• Perfect for a refreshing cold drink or a parfait in summer.
